Dr. Swearingen joined Dr. Black's team in 2001. Dr. Swearingen, a graduate of Indiana University School of Optometry, has extensively worked with corneal patients.  She is well versed in all refractive procedures and enjoys helping patients attain their best possible vision.   She is a member of the Indiana Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Swearingen is the Coordinating Director for a local non-profit ocular clinic that provides low-income families with quality eye care. Dr. Swearingen enjoys donating her time. She resides in Southern Indiana with her husband Jason and enjoys boating with her three children.
